As early as 1920, John Lewis Industries began manufacturing ice cream sticks. Shortly after, it introduced its tongue depressors to medical industry .Not long after, it began exporting its products to the U.S.A., Hong-Kong and Egypt.
Established in Quebec since 1945, John Lewis Industries, now entirely Canadian owned, is the only manufacturer of its kinds in Canada. With its sales office and distribution centre located in Montreal, John Lewis Industries operates a state-of-the- art manufacturing facility in La Tuque (Québec).
John Lewis Industries employs over 100 workers, produces over 21 millions wooden ice cream sticks on a daily basis, exports over 85% of its production around the world and continues to increase its large share of the world market.
